April 11, 2013 Prominent Spanish Architect Francisco Mangado to Lecture
, one of Spain’s most acclaimed architects, is to lecture on Monday, April 15 at 5:30 p.m. in McCarty Auditorium聽at the UT Art and Architecture Building,聽1715 Volunteer Blvd. The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be .听
Mangado was recently selected as one of seven international architects elevated to the 2013 AIA College of Fellows.听His firm 聽considers the context and meaning of space in relationship to service and dialogue.听In addition to his architectural practice, Mangado is a professor at University of Navarre School of Architecture.
Mangado also recently established the foundation,聽.听The foundation鈥檚 mission is interdisciplinary:
鈥淭o give solutions to the complex social framework, architecture has to interact with other disciplines of creation, thought, or economics.
