March 24, 2016 Jeffrey Williams’ Innovative Vision Lives on through Scholarship

The College of Architecture and Design conveys condolences to the family of Jeffrey M. Williams, AIA, who passed away unexpectedly on March 23.

Williams earned a B.ARCH. with honors from UT in 1983.聽 While a student, he participated in an exchange program where he studied at the School of Architecture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.

Immediately after graduation, Williams began working in Manhattan with Brennan Beer Gorman Architects then relocated to Hong Kong.聽 He moved back to New York and was a founding partner of studioaria before moving to Singapore in 2012 as the Managing Director at HBA Architecture.

Williams was accomplished in the field of architecture and traveled the world extensively for both business and pleasure.聽 He loved his family and was a generous and caring friend to many.

Williams believed that 鈥渋nspirational architecture mandates innovative design solutions that proudly celebrate, respect and embody the unique heritage of each community and offer valuable, sustainable and enriching visions for its future,鈥 as he stated in his biography.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m., March 29, in the Chapel at St. John鈥檚 Episcopal Cathedral, downtown 快活视频. 聽In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to send donations to The University of Tennessee Jeffrey M.
