2021 Spring Commencement: Undergraduate Students

For the first time in UT鈥檚 history, commencement will take place in Neyland Stadium. Commencement for our college will take place at three times:
- For graduate students: Friday, May 7, 2021, 4 p.m.
- For undergraduate students: Saturday, May 8, 2021, 10 a.m.
- Graphic Design students: Sunday, May 9, 2021, 1 p.m.
Undergraduate Students
Students in our undergraduate programs鈥擜rchitecture and Interior Architecture鈥攚ill participate with three other colleges: Communication and Information; Social Work; and Tickle College of Engineering at the May 8 commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Registration is required.
Hooding for undergraduate students will not take place during the ceremony, so students should wear their hoods to the ceremony.
Registration
Graduating students who intend to participate in commencement must register to do so by using the registration link e-mailed in early March. Registration closes April 1.
Health and Safety
To ensure health and safety for all, UT will put into place protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic, including requiring tickets for guests, limiting the number of guests, assigning seating, ensuring social distancing, requiring masks, restricting hand shaking and more.
