April 23, 2013 Graduate Student to Host at AIA National Convention
Amanda Gann, a graduate student in architecture at 快活视频, is Co-host Contest. Gann, alongside Karen Tang of California Polytechnic University, will聽host with Stephen Chung in the聽ARCHITECT Live booth聽this June at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention.
Approximately six thousand votes were cast to determine two winners among nine final contestants. Gann’s video submission is featured below.
“This opportunity is a once in a lifetime chance to represent the voice of emerging professionals in the multi-generational dialogue about the future of the profession,” said Gann. “I am really excited.”
Gann, former president of the UT chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), was given the聽Chapter President Honor Award from the AIAS in 2012. She recently claimed the in Environmental Sensitivity in the 2013 Ed Bacon Student Design Competition,聽聽in the Architectural Design Category of the Gowanus by Design – Water Works Competition, and was an in the聽AIAS and Kawneer 鈥淓nlightening Libraries鈥 Design Competition.
