March 15, 2016 UT Leads SEC in ARE

The UT College of Architecture and Design isn’t just educating students.  We’re also building architects.

The College of Architecture and Design takes pride—and rightfully so—in the number of Architecture alumni who are licensed.  Numbers tell the story.  In the past six years, UT graduates have scored at or above the national average on the ARE more than any other school in the Southeastern Conference.1

In fact, since 2010, graduates from the School of Architecture at UT have on average scored higher each year on the Architect Registration Exam than those from any other school in the Southeastern Conference.2

The Architect Registration Exam is a challenging, multi-phased exam that graduates can choose to undergo.  Our alumni make that choice more often than any other school in the SEC.  In 2015 alone, a total of 519 tests were taken by UT graduates, more than any other school in the SEC.3

While other schools have fine architecture programs, UT clearly prepares students for success.  More than 88% of tests taken by UT graduates since 2010 have reached scores at or above the national average.4  Our studio culture and, in particular, our integrations studios, are some of the best in the U.S., as reflected by DesignIntelligence, which ranked UT’s School of Architecture #27 overall, #13 of public schools in 2016.  Our professors prepare students to not only challenge themselves while on campus and abroad but also earn the right to call themselves “Architect” once they graduate.
