November 19, 2015 Students Contribute to National Award
National recognition was earned by a group of students and faculty in the UT School of Landscape Architecture who participated in the Case Study Investigation (CSI) program.聽 This work contributed to the CSI program that earned a 2015 American Society of Landscape Architects Professional Honor Award in Research last month.
According to LAF, CSI is a research collaboration that 鈥渕atches faculty-student research teams with leading design practitioners to measure and document the performance of their built projects as Landscape Performance Series Case Study Briefs.鈥
The team of graduate students, Jessica Taylor, Angelike Angelopoulos, Luis Venegas and Cameron Rodman, along with Asst. Professor Brad Collett, worked with design firms Hargreaves Associates and Perkins + Will to develop landscape performance evaluation methods, metrics and case studies for the city of Chattanooga鈥檚 Renaissance Park, the Atlanta BeltLine鈥檚 Eastside Trail and Perkins + Will鈥檚 Atlanta office. 聽This research was included in LAF鈥檚 award-winning entry for the ASLA award program, and some of the students鈥 work was individually featured in the successful entry, including research from the Renaissance Park鈥檚 Methodology report.聽 Read more about the national award and .
